Two cars involved in collision on Brian Wells Road in the Dunmurry area

A 15-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was struck by a lorry on the Brians Well Road in the Dunmurry area of west Belfast.

It is believed the teenager was cycling on his bike when he was knocked down at around 4pm.

A Belfast Trust spokesperson said he was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital where he is critically ill.

The Pembroke Loop Road and Brians Well Road are closed.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.

There is no further information at this time.
