East Belfast arson: Man in his 40s injured after Gawn Street house petrol bombed
A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital after a house in the Gawn Street area of east Belfast was attacked with petrol bombs while he was inside.
A number of windows in the property were smashed and a vehicle outside the property was also set alight at about 1am on Saturday.
The man was treated was treated in hospital for "minor injuries".
Detective Inspector McCambridge said: "Just after 1.00am this morning, we received a report that a petrol bomb had been thrown at a house in the Ballymacarrett area.
"I would appeal to anyone who has information about this attack to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 97 of 10/6/17.
"Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."
