Elderly man dies in Lisburn fire

An elderly man has died in a house fire in Lisburn.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal fire on the Dagger Road, Lisburn.

It's believed the fire happened sometime between 7pm on Friday evening and 10am on Saturday morning.

Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Freeburn said: “Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 7 pm on Friday, November 7 and 10 am on Saturday, November8 and saw or heard anything that would assist police with their enquiries to contact Lisburn CID on the non-emergency number 101."
