An elderly woman has been knocked to the ground and robbed in west Belfast.

The attack happened at around 7.30pm the woman (76) got off a bus on the Falls Road area of Belfast.

She then turned into the alleyway that leads to Ardmoulin Avenue. Police says the next thing she remembers is being on the ground and a man.

She received facial injuries.

The male is described as being approximately 18-19 years old, thin build, about 5’11” tall. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood pulled up over his head and a black coloured scarf over his face.
