Ex-boxer Rogan travels to Derry to confront web troll
Former boxer Martin Rogan warned Twitter users he would not tolerate abuse after he travelled to Londonderry yesterday to confront an internet troll.
The west Belfast man arrived at the alleged pest's place of work and asked for him by name, reports said.
A tense situation developed after no one emerged to speak to the ex-fighter, but the matter was eventually resolved and 45-year-old Rogan left.
He later wrote on Twitter: "I announced who I was looking. Let it be a warning to the rest. Argue, yes, sick comments, no. Now p*** off."
One fan, Connor Smyth, told 'Rogie': "Hope you get peace now on Twitter - just some slabbers in Derry like everywhere, but we are mostly sound."
Rogan responded to the post with a thumbs-up symbol and wrote: "All sorted - have many friends there. All good thanks."
Earlier this week he and Carl Frampton's wife Christine became embroiled in a Twitter slanging match after Rogan posted comments about boxer David Haye's comeback.
The row saw her call Rogan an "illiterate fool", while Rogan made reference to "wee Barry Frampton" in an apparent dig at Frampton's manager Barry McGuigan.
