Expelled Ukip member Henry Reilly joins the TUV
A councillor kicked out of Ukip is set to join the TUV.
Henry Reilly, the party's former Northern Ireland chairman was expelled at the beginning of November.
The move was understood to relate to a newspaper interview in which Mr Reilly criticised party member David McNarry.
The Newry, Mourne and Down councillor was suspended from the party in September. Ukip said it was an "internal party decision".
Today it was revealed on the Stephen Nolan Show that Mr Reilly will join the Traditional Unionist Voice which is led by Jim Allister.
He said: "I feel very lose to their polices and I think it's a natural progression for me.
He added: "The TUV are the only party that are offering that path to reform.
"The Executive needs to be radically reformed and it's only with a strong TUV voice in the assembly that you will get reform."
