Eyes to the sky for thrilling Red Arrows at Festival of Flight
This was the spectacular scene as the Red Arrows took to the skies over Newcastle.
The amazing aerial display was the highlight of the Festival of Flight, which drew to a close yesterday.
Tens of thousands of spectators crammed into the coastal town for the magnificent flypast, with the planes blazing a colourful trail across the sky.
The seven-day festival concluded with One Cool Weekend, a music concert which took place in the playing fields at Castlewellan Road.
Other events which took place included a food market which was held on Newcastle Promenade on Saturday.
