Fake tan and false eyelashes among items stolen during spate of robberies in south Belfast
Fake tan and false eyelashes were among items stolen during a two-day robbery rampage in south Belfast.
A total of seven businesses were targeted in a spate of burglaries in the Ormeau Road area of the city at the weekend.
The incidents are thought to have happened between Saturday and Monday morning.
Cash was stolen from several business, while fake tan and false eyelashes were among items taken from a beauty.
Police believe two to three men were involved in the robberies - forcing their way into the businesses.
Four of the robberies are thought to have taken place in the early hours of Monday morning.
PSNI detective constable Ciara Mullan said: "We believe that approximately two to three males were involved in these burglaries and tools were used to forced rear and front doors in the various premises.
"In the incidents sums of cash were taken from a number of premises, while 50 pairs of quite unique false eyelashes and 30 boxes of fake tan, a mixture of St Tropez and Coco Brown were taken from a beauty salon that was the victim of this crime."
Police have appealed for information.
