Police investigating the report of a sexual assault on a teenage boy, in the Falls Park area of west Belfast, have arrested a man in his 30s.

The 16-year-old was allegedly attacked as he walked home in the early hours of Saturday, in the Turf Lodge area.

Detective Inspector Zoe McKee said: "I would like to thank the local community for their continued help and support during this investigation. I would urge anyone who has any further information about this incident to contact Detectives on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 158 16/07/16.

"Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
