Fancy a night stargazing in the middle of a Fermanagh woodland - but from the comfort of your bed?

Fancy a night gazing at the stars in the middle of a forest - but from the warmth and comfort of a bed?

Well now, in what's thought to be the first of its kind in the UK and Ireland - you can do just that with Stargazing Forest Domes in Enniskillen.

The Finn Lough Resort has launched its new accommodation which features a 180 degree transparent wall and roof which promises to let you get "back to nature" from a four-poster bed.

But while you may be in the middle of the 50 acre woodland and removed from the noise of everyday life - the dome does come equipped with some essential home comforts including an ensuite bathroom, Nespresso coffee machine, fluffy robe, slippers and a daily breakfast.

Through collaboration with Belleek-based designer Ronan Lowery the company has created the domes with an emphasis on local materials and craftsmanship.

The ensuite bathroom is custom built from iroka wood and the four-poster bed is crafted from local oak.

Director of Finn Lough, Gillian Beare, said: "The driving force for this development was a desire to offer something different for the discerning traveller, something beyond four walls and a bed.

"We wanted an accommodation product that truly offered a sense of place, one in which guests could disconnect from the everyday noise in their lives and reconnect with the simple pleasures of nature.”
