Farm machinery stolen

Agricultural machinery worth around £13,000 has been stolen during a burglary at premises in Co Antrim.

A new blue Holland 4835 tractor, a red brush system for a Holland tractor and a 15ft grey wooden trailer were stolen from a farm in the Antrim Road, Ballycraigy area of Newtownabbey.

The incident happened at about 8.20pm last Thursday.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokeswoman has appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

Last month the Ulster Farmers Union expressed concern at the level of rural crime in Northern Ireland.
