A cross-community group in Finaghy has launched a quarterly newsletter to publicise work being done to address anti-social behaviour in the area.

The Finaghy Crossroads Group unveiled the first edition of the ‘Finaghy Newsletter’ last week at its new offices on Finaghy Road North. It will be delivered free to residents in the area and to surrounding shops and civic centres.

“The newsletter details a lot of the work that is ongoing around the Finaghy Crossroads that many residents here might not know about,” explained group representative Stephen Magennis.

“This work includes efforts to address anti-social behaviour in the likes of Woodlands Playing Fields and Wedderburn Park. The group has pulled together all the statutory bodies and agencies needed to help better these areas to great success.

“The newsletter also highlights the different cross-community work carried out with young people and pensioners in the area. It gives information on new confidential advice sessions we are holding for local peo

ple as well as contact information for us and other stake-holder community groups in the area which we represent.

“Overall, the publication is a chance for us to let people know where our new premises is and what we can do for them.”

Finaghy Crossroads Group is based at 3 Finaghy Road North and can be contacted on 9029 5403, or by emailing
