Fire crews attacked with petrol bombs in Strabane

Fire crews were attacked with petrol bombs as they attended an incident in Strabane, Co Tyrone.

They were attacked as they attended the scene of a petrol bomb attack on a car and house in the Dublin Road area of the town.

At around 4.45am on Sunday a number of petrol bombs were thrown at a car parked in the driveway of the house.

The car and the front of the house were damaged in the attack.

A number of petrol bombs were also thrown at fire crews as they attended the scene of the attack. 

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID in Strabane on the non-emergency number 101.
