Fisherman rescued as boat sinks off coast

Fishermen have been rescued after their vessel collided with another boat and sank off the Co Down coast, the Coastguard said.

The incident happened just before 5.30am eight miles south of Ardglass. Nobody was injured.

A Coastguard spokesman said: "The crew of that fishing vessel moved on to the other vessel.

"Newcastle Lifeboat took the casualties off the vessel and brought them to shore, the other vessel followed behind them."
