Five men arrested over burglaries across Co Armagh

Five men have been arrested following a number of burglaries at residential properties in the Portadown, Armagh and Newtownhamilton areas on May 18.

Five men have been arrested over a number of burglaries across Portadown, Armagh and Newtownhamilton.

They were arrested in Tandragee on Thursday morning,

All the burglaries are believed to have taken place on Wednesday May 18.

Detectives from the PSNI's Reactive and Organised Crime Branch have charged the five men - who are aged 18, 19, 28, 30 and 33 years - with five counts of burglary with intent to steal and going equipped for burglary.

The men are all expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court on Saturday morning.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
