Five people held over east Belfast stabbing death released
Five people arrested over the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in east Belfast have been released.
James Stitt died after an attack on Castlereagh Place on the evening of Saturday December 6.
Three men aged 21, 25 and 31 and two women aged 25 and 29 had been in custody for questioning about the stabbing incident.
On Tuesday the two women and three men arrested were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
A police spokeswoman said the five people were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service for the offence of affray.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the 21-year-old's death.
