It's showtime as Carl Frampton takes on Alejandro Gonzalez Jr tonight - and the Belfast Telegraph will be with you through every punch.

The undefeated world champion from Belfast will attempt to hold on to his title in his second defence against the Mexican in El Paso, Texas.

Excitement has been building with the Frampton camp doing a daily countdown to the big day. And no doubt there will be many clenched fists in living rooms across the province as people cheer Carl on in a fight beamed on to TVs across Northern Ireland and further afield.

Follow the Belfast Telegraph online tonight for live updates, pictures, fight analysis and some surprises along the way. We hope you interact with us in the build-up to the bout using the hashtag #FramptonFever so we can show The Jackal how many people are in his corner.

You can find us on Twitter @BelTel, on our Facebook page and, of course, the main website at www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk.

Coverage of the defence of the IBF World super-bantamweight title at the Don Haskins Centre in El Paso will be shown live in the USA on CBS and in the UK on ITV.

UTV will start its coverage from 9.45pm UK time, with footage of the undercard scraps starting at 9pm on ITV4.

Gonzalez Jr, the son of former WBC World featherweight champion Alejandro Sr, is ranked 13 by the IBF and boasts a record of 25 wins, one defeat and two draws.

Frampton won his title in front of a Belfast crowd of 16,000 fans last year.

His first title defence was in February against USA's Chris Avalos in the Odyssey Arena, which attracted a terrestrial television audience of more than two million viewers.
