Food firm fined £4,500 for scam
A Roslea food packer who sold short weight packages of meat has been fined £4,500 at Enniskillen Magistrates Court.
Empire Meats Ltd, trading as Flynn's Fine Foods, pleaded guilty to eight charges under the Weights and Measures Regulations.
It follows an inspection in June 2012, when packages of meat were found to be significantly short weight.
Stuart MacMurdo of the Trading Standards Service said firms must have procedures to ensure "consumers get what they pay for".
