Forensics inspect bloody crime scene in Belfast

Forensics are inspecting a bloody crime scene in north Belfast today following a violent incident in the early hours of the morning.

A house in Herbert Street, Ardoyne has been sealed off and police have arrested two men, aged 25 and 33.

Detectives would not reveal any further information about what happened.

The men were both taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact Detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.

"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
