Foster invites Vice Premier of China to Northern Ireland
First Minister Arlene Foster invited Chinese Vice Premier Madam Liu Yandong to visit her home county of Fermanagh as the two female leaders met in Shanghai.
The crucial meeting was part of a four-day visit to China by the DUP leader.
Mrs Foster said they discussed the Executive's bureau in Beijing "and how this demonstrates our desire to develop a long-lasting friendship and presence in China". She added: "I invited Madam Liu Yandong to come and visit Northern Ireland again, and this time I will show her the beauty of my home county of Fermanagh."
Mrs Foster is in China in a bid to boost the province's relationship with the country in the economic, education, tourism, cultural and agricultural sectors.
