Four quizzed on loyalist activity

Four men who were arrested in south Belfast by police who fired a shot are being questioned about loyalist paramilitary activity.

The suspects - aged 21, 27, 29 and 32 - were detained after police stopped a car in the Donegall Road area of the city yesterday evening.

They are being questioned at the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station.

An investigation has been launched by the Police Ombudsman into the discharging of the police weapon, which is not believed to have caused any injuries.
