All hands were on deck as the First Minister handed over cheques to armed services charities yesterday.

The event marked the 10th anniversary of the presentation of funds raised by the Greater Shankill Community Council, the Shankill Extra and volunteers from the Oldpark/Cavehill branch of the Royal British Legion.

To date £92,000 has been handed over - with a further £11,000 to follow.

All the money raised has been distributed to a variety of services and ex-services charities, as well as the Poppy Appeal.
