Funeral held for 'pioneer' judge Corinne Philpott QC
The funeral has taken place of Northern Ireland's first female County Court judge, Corinne Philpott QC, who passed away on Thursday.
The 62-year-old, who presided over some of the region's most high-profile cases, including the Liam Adams sex abuse trial, died after she was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.
She is survived by her husband, David, their son Christopher and daughter-in-law Helen, who married shortly before her death.
Her funeral took place in the Church of the Ascension, Annahilt yesterday.
Colleagues hailed her as a "pioneer" in her profession.
