Gas supplier Firmus reveals 9.75% price cut for greater Belfast customers

Natural gas supplier Firmus has announced an almost 10% price cut for customers in greater Belfast.

Firmus has around 50,000 domestic and business customers in the area. The supplier also pipes gas to 10 towns in Northern Ireland.

It said an announcement on that tariff would be made in the coming days.

Announcing the 9.75% cut in greater Belfast, Firmus Energy managing director Michael Scott said: "We have more than 50,000 customers in the greater Belfast area and continually strive to keep our natural gas prices as low and as stable as possible for our customers.

"Along with our excellent customer service we have consistently offered the lowest tariff prices for domestic customers over the last number of years and are delighted that this will continue.

"We monitor all costs and global wholesale fuel prices on a daily basis to ensure our prices offer the best value possible and any savings are passed on as soon as we can to our customers."
