Girl aged six dies after cars and tractor collide

A six-year-old girl has died following a crash involving two cars and a tractor.

She was a passenger in a Volkswagen car that was in collision with a Seat car and a tractor in Hilltown Road in Newry, at around 9.55am on Saturday.

Two other women, aged 24 and 42, were also taken to hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have closed Hilltown Road and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact local Police in Newry, or the Collision Investigation Unit in Sprucefield on 101.
