Glenavon's Kevin Braniff denies harassing TV presenter ex-girlfriend Jennifer Conway
Glenavon footballer Kevin Braniff is to appear in court charged with harassing his glamorous TV presenter ex-girlfriend.
The Irish league footballer is accused of pestering Jennifer Conway over a two-week period last Christmas.
The 33-year-old striker, who has bagged 34 goals for the Lurgan side, strongly denies any wrongdoing and is set to contest the charge.
Braniff, from Bellefield Heights in west Belfast, met Jennifer Conway during a brief 2014 spell playing for the Port Melbourne Sharks in Australia.
The TV presenter, who is originally from Co Wicklow, was doing media work in the city.
The couple returned to Northern Ireland when Braniff signed for Glenavon. They split last year and Ms Conway moved back across the border to work for an Irish TV channel.
Braniff's charge sheet alleges that he "pursued a course of conduct that amounted to the harassment of Jennifer Conway, and which you ought to have known amounted to harassment" on dates between December 17, 2015 and January 3, 2016.
