Gold rush Bethany goes back to college with Paralympic medals
Paralympic hero Bethany Firth returned to college yesterday to inspire today's students to aim high.
The Co Down swimmer brought her stunning collection of medals, including the three golds and one silver that she won during the summer's Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where she was Team GB's biggest success.
On hand to proudly congratulate the former South East Regional College (SERC) student was Lynda Robinson, deputy head of school for applied science and sport.
Bethany won her Rio golds in the 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle and 100m freestyle. She competes in the S14 classification for athletes with an intellectual impairment.
