Guns found during in Armagh raid, court told
Guns were discovered after police launched a search for drugs at a house in Armagh, the High Court heard.
A revolver and pistol were seized during the trawl through William Simmons' home at Barrack Street in the city last week, according to the prosecution.
Quantities of ecstasy, cannabis, three balaclavas and a military flak jacket were also said to have been found at the property he shared with his partner and a half-sister.
Simmons (41) claimed to have bought some of the clothing as family Christmas gifts.
He has been charged with possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances.
Simmons' application for bail was later adjourned due to separate unresolved court issues.
