Hate crime graffiti sprayed on house in Belfast
Police are investigating another race hate crime in Belfast.
The incident at Parkgate Avenue in the Mersey Street area in the east of the city is the latest in a wave of such attacks across Belfast.
Police yesterday gave first details of the Parkgate Avenue incident which was reported on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for information following the report of a hate crime on Wednesday. Graffiti was sprayed on the front window of a residential property in the Parkgate Avenue area."
It is understood the graffiti has now been cleaned off the house and yesterday many people in the area were unaware of the attack.
One man said: "I'm unaware of this but this is a quiet street and I'm shocked that something like this has happened here."
Local DUP councillor Tom Haire and Alliance Party councillor Mervyn Jones both condemned the attack.
