Congratulations to Newtownards woman Alison Coyle who has been selected as a finalist for next month’s RBS Group Chairman Awards in recognition of the time she spends and funds she raises for various charities.

Alison, who also runs ‘Ards Hat Hire’ in her spare time from home (with all proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care), has worked for Ulster Bank Group for over 23 years, taking a break to raise her family, and returning to work in Communications and Corporate Services Division. She has given, over the last year alone, over 640 hours of her time to good causes through volunteering and fundraising, helping many causes and raising some £7,000 for charities including NI Hospice, Tiny Life and Wheelchairs for the Blind.

The RBS Group Chairman's Awards for Community Excellence recognise group, including Ulster Bank, employees across the world who invest significant time and effort in fundraising and voluntary work on behalf of local community groups or charitable organisations. The overall winner will be announced in February.
