A herd of cattle brought the morning rush near Lisburn to a standstill on Thursday morning.

The cows were spotted on the outside lane of the M1 motorway just before the Blacks Road junction at around 7am.

Emergency services attended the scene and under a police escort, the farm animals were herded off the road.
