Homes defaced in 'racist' attack

The homes of three Polish families have been attacked in east Belfast.

The rented homes on Roslyn Street were defaced with graffiti saying "locals only".

It follows a spate of hate crimes in the area.

Sinn Fein Belfast City councillor Niall O Donnghaile said: " My immediate thoughts are with those families immediately affected.

"They have arrived to our city no doubt with the hope of a better life and have found themselves attacked by mindless racists motivated only by hate.

"All sections of life in east Belfast must stand up for these families and face down the racists in our midst.

"I am concerned that these attacks are continuing with what seems like impunity."
