In my day: We quiz Stephanie Sheerin on the time of her life
Q. What was your decade?
A. I was a bit of a late starter and definitely lived more in my late 20s. So I'm going to choose the 90s.
Q. What was life like back then?
A. At the beginning of the decade I was still at university, living in Belfast. I lived the typical student life. You worked hard but knew how to party. Life was good.
Q. What were you listening to back then?
A. I have admit to a few cringeworthy albums - Pet Shop Boys, Madonna and Erasure spring to mind. And Nero's in Portstewart was the Saturday night place to be.
Q. And what was the style like?
A. Cherry red Doc Martens with checked jeans and paisley shirts played a big part in my wardrobe. As for the hair, I went from the dreaded perm to the short tomboy look.
Q. What has changed since then?
A. I got married in 2009 and we have a little boy who is almost five, so priorities have changed. The idea of a good Saturday night is now pizza, kids' movies and cuddles on the sofa.
Q. What was better back then?
A. The world has been taken over by technology. People had more time to spend with friends and family, and catching up was by meeting up for a good gossip rather than a quick text.
