Indian takeaway owner in vow to defy arsonists
The owner of an Indian takeaway premises destroyed in an arson attack has vowed to be back in business soon with the support of friends and strangers.
Spice Fusion on the Upper Lisburn Road in south Belfast was completely gutted by fire after vandals broke in through the front door on Saturday at around 7am.
The Hairloom hairdressing salon next door was burgled and ransacked at the same time.
Spice Fusion owner Ahad Miah said he has been overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, customers, suppliers and strangers since the incident.
"I want to thank everyone for their support," Mr Miah said.
"Complete strangers and even my old suppliers are offering money and to lend a hand.
"Friends and builders are working away and we hope to be up and running again next week."
