Inspiring women to speak at Belfast's TEDxBelfastWomen event

BY AMANDA FERGUSON

Ideas worth spreading will be explored by inspirational female speakers at an Invented Here themed conference in east Belfast next month.

The TEDxBelfastWomen event features 12 high profile speakers, including Lady Christine Eames, former Assembly deputy speaker Jane Morrice, economist Susan Hayes, and Queen's University history professor Catherine Clinton.

Also speaking will be an expert in negotiations.

Jenny Radcliffe uses her skills to help clients from corporations and security companies, to police officers and poker players, and has been described as a mind reader and 'human lie-detector'.

TED started out in 1984 as a conference, bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment and Design.

TEDxBelfastWomen will be one of more than 150 TEDx events taking place around the world featuring online streams.

The event takes place on December 6, from 9.30am to 3.30pm, in the Skainos community building. Visit: tedxbelfast women.com
