Irish Open: Smiling Erica brings touch of glamour to north coast
Erica McIlroy was well prepared for the unpredictable Northern Ireland weather when she accompanied hubby Rory on the first day of the Irish Open at Portstewart yesterday.
The American beauty and her Holywood legend Rory arrived at the links course in a glittering white BMW i8 sports car, parking so close to another vehicle that the couple had to open the £100,000 car's gullwing doors very gingerly indeed.
Erica emerged from the luxury German machine smiling for the crowds, and wrapped up warmly in a waxed jacket and quilted gilet.
The former golf administrator was also carrying a tightly-furled shooting stick for mum-in-law Rosie.
A dark grey baseball cap emblazoned with '145th Royal Troon', a pair of black leggings and sparkling stud earrings completed glamorous Erica's (left) practical Ulster fashion ensemble.
