Jet-ski crash kills Northern Ireland father and leaves son (3) critical
A man believed to have links to Northern Ireland has died in a jet-ski accident in France.
The victim was named locally as Igor Shtutin (41), a Russian man thought to be living in Northern Ireland.
The accident happened on Thursday at St Jean Cap Ferrat on the French Riviera, when Mr Shtutin's jet-ski rammed into a harbour wall at speed.
Emergency services raced to the scene, but could not save Mr Shtutin's life.
His son Michael (3), who was with Mr Shtutin on the jet-ski, was taken to the Lenval hospital in Nice where he was placed in intensive care.
Mr Shtutin's wife Marina is at their son's bedside in a hospital, in Nice, according to French media reports.
