Joe Reilly murder probe: Second man arrested over Poleglass shooting released unconditionally
A 48-year-old man arrested in the Dunmurry area on Monday by police investigating the death of Belfast man Joe Reilly has been released unconditionally.
Mr Reilly was mercilessly gunned down after killers burst into his Glenwood Court home in Poleglass on Thursday, October 20.
The 43-year-old was shot twice in the chest in the living room of his home, while two other people in the house were forced to lie on the kitchen floor.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, he died at the scene.
Illegal drugs and paramilitarism may have played a role in the murder, police believe.
Last week a 32-year-old man was arrested in the Newtownabbey area in connection with the murder.
Detective Inspector Darren McCartney said: “Mr Reilly was shot in his home in Glenwood Court at about 8pm on the evening of Thursday 20 October.
"I would continue to ask anyone who has any information about this murder to contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1172 20/10/16.
