Three members of Jordan’s Paralympic squad have been charged with a total of seven sex offences, including sexual activity with a child.
The Belfast Telegraph revealed yesterday that the trio had been arrested on suspicion of indecent assault in Antrim on Monday.
Police said a 23-year-old man had been charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child, one charge of sexually assaulting a woman, and voyeurism.
A 35-year-old man faces two charges of sexual activity with a child.
And a 36-year-old man has been charged with the sexual assault of an adult female.
All three are due to appear in Coleraine magistrates court today to face the charges.
The offences are alleged to have occurred at the Antrim Forum sports complex, where several paralympic teams including Jordan’s 19-strong delegation, have been training ahead of the Games which start next Wednesday.
