Just born: Wee Jude is just the double of his dad
Joanne and Warren Holmes from Belfast have welcomed a son into the world.
Jude Holmes weighed 9lbs 5oz and measured 55cms when he was born at the Ulster Hosptial in Dundonald on May 19 at 7.41pm.
The bouncing baby boy is the first grandson for Warren's side of the family.
Joanne and Warren did not find out in advance if they were expecting a boy or girl.
"He was a surprise," Joanne said.
"He is the double of his dad. He's really alert. He has big brown eyes already.
"All he does is eat. He's a real wee grubber."
Joanne praised all the staff at the Ulster Hospital, describing them as "fantastic".
"I couldn't praise them enough," she said.
"The midwives and all the girls couldn't do enough for you."
Payroll manager Joanne (32) and Warren (42), a sales executive, have had lots of support from family, including from Jude's big sister Shannon (2).
"We have had lots of family coming and going," Joanne said.
"We are delighted and his sister is delighted.
"She thinks he is brilliant. She keeps trying to entertain him and giving him things to play with."
Being parents the second time round is a little easier.
"It's a bit more straightforward than the first time," Joanne said.
"You know what's coming.
"We are very happy."
