Just married: Honeymooners heading for Jamaica

Jonathan and Clare Adair from Ballymena are enjoying life as husband and wife following their relaxed wedding earlier this month.

Storeroom manager Jonathan (31) and Clare (31), an administrator, met at Thompson's Garage nightclub in Belfast back in 2005.

They began to date, fell in love and then became engaged on Christmas Day 2012.

"We were at my parents' house," Jonathan said.

"I had the engagement ring and got down on one knee."

The couple were married on May 2 at Crebilly Church in Ballymena.

"It was brilliant," Jonathan said.

"We were both a bit nervous, but the priest, Father O'Neill, is a family friend and he made it very relaxing."

The newlyweds' reception followed at the Dunadry Hotel.

Their first dance was to Queen song You're My Best Friend.

"It was fantastic," Jonathan said.

"It was a very relaxed day. I'm from a very big family. There were loads of people there.

"Our circle of friends and family made it great craic, so a big thank you to everyone."

The new Mr and Mrs Adair are planning to honeymoon in Jamaica later this year. Married life is going well.

"It's good," Jonathan said.

"Not an awful lot has changed. The stress of the wedding is over and we are very relaxed."
