Just Married: Living the dream... couple who clicked at friends' wedding

Colin and Joanna Ward from Co Down fell in love after being introduced by their respective best friends.

Aircraft engineer Colin (36) and Joanna (34), a civil servant, met back in August 2010 and clicked straight away.

"Joanna's best friend married my best friend," Colin said.

"We had met a couple of times leading up to their wedding and then properly at the wedding."

The couple became engaged on New Year's Eve 2013.

"I had been thinking about it so I just popped the question," Colin explained.

They were married on May 31 at the Stormont Hotel surrounded by their close friends and family.

Their first dance as Mr and Mrs Ward was to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.

"It was a fantastic day," Colin said.

"Up to that point of the year it was the hottest day. It was so warm.

"We had a brilliant time. I was a bit nervous but it was great."

Following the wedding Colin and Joanna headed to Aruba for a sun-filled honeymoon.

"It was absolutely phenomenal," Colin said. "We can't wait to go back."

Married life is going very well for the newlyweds.

"It has been non-stop since the wedding, absolutely brilliant," Colin said.

"It is fantastic to be married. We are living the dream."
