Lagan Towpath 'flashing' suspect is held after dog chase
A police dog chased a man suspected of being the Lagan Towpath flasher before he was arrested by pursuing officers.
The PSNI had issued a number of appeals for information over the past few months about a male who had reportedly been exposing himself to passers-by.
After a member of the public yesterday reported a man for a similar incident, officers were on the scene quickly - and they brought some canine help.
"You may recall over the previous few months we have appealed for information about a male who had reportedly been exposing himself to passers-by on the Lagan Towpath in Lisburn," the PSNI said on Facebook yesterday.
"Following a similar report this morning, officers from B Section along with a dog quickly responded to the towpath.
"They searched the area and then gave chase on foot after a male who made off from them. Officers caught up with the man who was subsequently arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure."
The man was taken into police custody for questioning.
