Armed robbers who held up a cash-in-transit van in Co Fermanagh on Wednesday escaped with a large sum of cash, detectives have revealed.

At around 12.35pm two delivery men were in Main Street, Derrylin, delivering cash when they were approached by two assailants - one armed with a suspected firearm.

The men threatened the delivery men before making off with the cash.

The culprits were wearing black beanie hats.

One was wearing a high-visibility jacket and the other was wearing a dark top or jacket.

Detective Inspector Brian Foster is appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to call 101.
