A man has been charged after a million pounds worth of cannabis was found by police in Lisburn.
The drugs were seized on Wednesday after police stopped a vehicle at the Hillsborough Road roundabout on the A1 shortly before 7pm.
A 49-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court to face two drugs charges.
Organised Crime Branch boss, Detective Chief Superintendent Roy McComb, said this latest find had brought the total estimated value of drugs seized here since last April to just under £14m.
“The criminal gangs who sell this deadly product prey on their communities and we are working to disrupt them at every turn,” he added.
