A 37-year-old Lithuanian man arrested by police this morning in connection with the death of a man has been remanded in custody awaiting extradition to his home country.

He was arrested after an operation at a house in Causanagh Road, Loughgall, Co Armagh by a European Arrest Warrant.

He appeared before Belfast Recorders Court and has been remanded in custody.

The suspect is wanted on a European Arrest Warrant by the authorities in Lithuania for questioning about the death of a man in 2005.

The appeal for information to locate and apprehend the suspect was featured UK-wide on the BBC Crimewatch programme in February.
