The charges come following the discovery of a viable device in north Belfast on Thursday.

Detectivex from Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave Street PSNI station have charged the 28-year- old man with possession of explosives with intent to endanger life.

A 29 year old female has been released pending a report to the PPS.

The man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday July 18.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
