Man, 41, arrested after police seize steroids haul

A 41-year-old man has been arrested after a significant quantity of steroids were seized in Co Londonderry.

He was detained when police searched a house in the Greysteel area.

The suspect is being questioned about a range of offences including the importation of and conspiracy to supply Class C drugs.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the arrest was linked to the discovery of Class C drugs en route to an address in Greysteel.

It is the second major seizure of steroids in the North West in the last month.

Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) were also involved in the operation.

Detective Inspector Tom McClure said: "The PSNI is committed to policing the threat posed by drugs in Northern Ireland and will continue to work with our colleagues in NCA and elsewhere in relation to detecting those involved in the illegal supply of drugs."
