Man (51) charged with attempted murder of man in 'paramilitary style shooting' in north Belfast

A 51-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a north Belfast man in the early hours of Monday.

Detectives  have also charged him with carrying a firearm with intent in relation to the shooting of a man in his 20s.

The injured man was shot several times in an alleyway between Sheridan Street and Donore Court.

The 51-year-old is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning where the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
