Man, 54, to face drugs find charges

A 54-year-old man has been charged with a range of drugs offences linked to the discovery of £150,000 worth of cannabis in Ballymena.

The drugs were found at a property in the Cullybackey Road area.

Officers conducted the search after noticing suspicious activity while on town-centre patrol.

The man has been charged with possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and permitting the production of a class B controlled drug on premises.

A 50-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the incident have been released pending a report to prosecutors.
